Mr. LEE Ming Kwai, Commander of Police (cp@police.gov.hk)
Mr. TANG King Shing,
Commander of Police,
Dear Mr Tang,
I am to request the Police Force’s response to a suspected cat abuse incident
reported in the Oriental Daily News and the Sun Paper on 2007.01.07.
The papers reported a stray cat, with severe trauma in his/her hind legs as well as the skull,
being found in Shek Lei Estate on 6 January 2007. Mr Leung, the man who found the cat, believe
a deliberate act of human violence was involved. He reported to the police, but was neglected.
A recent campaign by the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department appealed to citizens
to be more proactive in reporting animal abuse and cruelty. After all, it seemed the Police
is still turning its back on these crimes. I hope the Police can uphold its mission to enforce the
laws and meet public expectation.
I would appreciate if the Police would provide a prompt and satisfactory response to the report
mentioned herein.
Thank you for your attention
Sincerely |
